Reception, workshops, tutorials, industry day, banquet, coffee, lunches and proceedings are included in the price when registering for the full conference. Only coffee and lunches will be included when registering for One Day only and Industry Day. Additional banquet tickets can be purchased for €50 each. Workshops, tutorials and additional banquet dinner tickets ALL require that you have purchased a conference ticket (full or single day) in your name.

Visa Support Letter

If you need a travel visa to Austria, we can issue a visa support letter once you registered and payed the conference fee.

Send an e-mail request to ecir2015 [add] with the
following data:

  • Family name (as it appears on your passport)
  • First name(s) (as it appears on your passport)
  • Date and Place of birth
  • Nationality
  • Full official residency address (no company address)
  • Passport number, date of issue and expiration date
  • Include an email address where we can send the letter

Please allow up to one week to receive the letter.

Terms of Cancellation

Requests for registration cancellation must be made in writing and mailed to the following address: ecir2015 [add] All requests for refunds will be processed after the ECIR2015 conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Cancellations received on or before January 31, 2015, will receive a full refund minus a 60 euro processing fee.
  • Cancellations received from January 31, 2015 through March 1, 2015 will receive a 50% refund minus a 60 euro processing fee.
  • No refunds will be made for requests received after March 1, 2015.
  • No refund for authors of accepted papers will be honored, unless another author is registered.
  • ‘No shows’ (due to all causes including natural disasters) are non-refundable and are liable for the full registration fee.

If you have a paper accepted, then it is necessary to register for the conference by the 11th of January to ensure that the paper is included in the proceedings. If you submitted a student grant and it is successful, your registration fee will be refunded to you at the conference. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to attend the conference and present the paper or poster, and this will be taken into account for any cancellation requests.
